See, It Was Well Worth The Effort

Well, no, of course it wasn't. In all probability nothing will *actually* change here in Bristol - the "No Overall Control" council will continue the policy of total incompetence of their illustrious LibDem predecessors. Nationally, the LibDems are getting their first taste of a mid-term electoral bloody nose and would be well advised to see it for what it is and nothing more. The Labour Luvvies will continue to behave like schoolboys who have just discovered playing with their dicks until they find out that their local Tesco Express has run out of their favourite brand of ready-meal and they go back to sulking. Still, it was fun, wasn't it?

Just like New York, apparently

I've not seen a single non-blue Taxi since they were outlawed here on Sunday - I seem to recall the idea was to make Bristol more like New York (why??? and anyway, don't they have yellow taxis?) but never having been there (NY, sadly I'm in Bristol rather a lot) can't really say to what extent this has or has not been a success. I'm pretty sure there isn't a branch of Tescos every five feet in NY though, so in this regard the policy has failed completely. Over to Banksey and the boys, then.

In Bristol, you're never more than bottle-hurling distance from a Tesco

Suggestions would be welcome for new songs for the Rock Bottom set, ideally something that hasn't featured in a Disney film (thank you Mr Semple). Have a good 'un dudes.
